Job Summary

Operate a screed on an asphalt paver to produce the correct depth, grade, and finished cross-section. Make standard operating adjustments and add/remove screed extensions as needed. Perform related maintenance, lubrication, and servicing on equipment, and may occasionally run other paving machinery. Follow safety procedures and report to the assigned job site, working outdoors in hot/cold conditions and with overtime, nights, and weekends when required.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate screed on an asphalt paver and make normal operating adjustments for proper depth, grade, and cross-section.
•Add or remove screed extensions and perform other related duties as needed.
•Occasionally operate paving equipment such as a power broom, plate compactor, paving machine, shuttle buggy, and/or vibratory roller.
•Maintain and service equipment, including oiling/greasing and normal operating adjustments.
•Work on assigned job sites as directed, following safety requirements and procedures; report ready at designated start times.
