Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and analyze customer activity in the CSOC, focusing on security functions such as identifying account takeovers, Bot Attacks, and WAF administration.
  • •Provide deep application-security expertise on escalated cases from customers and automated systems.
  • •Conduct continuous-improvement work and research to enhance customer security products and operations.
  • •Contribute to processes and policies that scale Fastly’s organization as it grows.
  • •Create and manage security reporting and security content for customer environments.

Key Requirements

  • •Prior experience working in a SOC environment.
  • •Experience with SaaS/cloud or hybrid cloud deployments and web server platforms (Apache, NGINX, IIS) and related application server technologies/frameworks.
  • •Scripting ability with at least one of: Python, Java, Go, Rust, PHP, Unix/Linux Shell, C#, or other common web languages.
  • •Strong infosec background with practical application security knowledge.
  • •Experience in IT/security technical support, operations, or research, including Unix/Linux or Windows system administration.
