Job Summary

Provide subject matter electrical engineering support and leadership for multi-site power generation projects across due diligence through permitting, design, development, and construction. Produce and review complex electrical design plans, oversee electrical drawing and specification development, and lead larger-scale project engineering work. Support scoping, budgeting, proposals, permit reviews, inspections, and commissioning support, while ensuring technical reports, quality, and compliance meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce, coordinate, review, and/or approve electrical design plans for complex power plant projects across project phases.
•Apply high-level electrical engineering techniques from preliminary design through commissioning support and record drawings.
•Oversee the development of power plant electrical drawings and equipment specifications, including onelines, schematics, bus ducts, cable schedules, and power/control equipment.
•Lead larger-scale electrical engineering projects by setting contributor expectations, preparing and overseeing budgets, and ensuring QA/QC and work quality.
•Assist with engineering review of permit applications and construction-related deliverables, and communicate engineering decisions with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•10+ years of relevant post-education experience as a power engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in power generation.
•Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multiple states preferred).
•Strong experience with power plant infrastructure design for Combined Cycle and Simple Cycle Gas Turbines or Heat Recovery Steam Generators.
•Strong knowledge of applicable engineering codes, laws, and regulations (IEEE, NEC, NEMA, IEC) and electrical engineering calculations and computations.
