Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce, coordinate, review, and/or approve electrical design plans for complex power plant projects across project phases.
  • •Apply high-level electrical engineering techniques from preliminary design through commissioning support and record drawings.
  • •Oversee the development of power plant electrical drawings and equipment specifications, including onelines, schematics, bus ducts, cable schedules, and power/control equipment.
  • •Lead larger-scale electrical engineering projects by setting contributor expectations, preparing and overseeing budgets, and ensuring QA/QC and work quality.
  • •Assist with engineering review of permit applications and construction-related deliverables, and communicate engineering decisions with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • •10+ years of relevant post-education experience as a power engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in power generation.
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multiple states preferred).
  • •Strong experience with power plant infrastructure design for Combined Cycle and Simple Cycle Gas Turbines or Heat Recovery Steam Generators.
  • •Strong knowledge of applicable engineering codes, laws, and regulations (IEEE, NEC, NEMA, IEC) and electrical engineering calculations and computations.
