Job Summary

Construct, refurbish, and repair mold components by operating CNC and manual machines in the tool shop. Use precision measuring tools and read blueprints to maintain tight tolerances, while supporting quality and safety through established procedures. Progress through Toolmaker/Machinist Levels I–III, including CNC programming with Mastercam and/or Mazatrol, learning machining setup processes, and supporting troubleshooting and continual improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Construct, refurbish, and repair mold components using CNC and manual machines.
•Operate assigned CNC or manual machine(s) and record dimensions using precision measuring tools.
•Maintain safety and security diligence, including responding to emergencies and reporting non-conformities.
•Support quality investigation and (at higher levels) CMM operation and assembly or related focus areas.
•Maintain cleanliness of the shop and assist superiors with day-to-day work flow and scheduling operations.

Key Requirements

•High school education or GED equivalent.
•Ability to accurately read blueprints.
•Ability to safely operate a forklift (high traffic, low clearance) and occasionally climb on/off a forklift.
•Physical ability to push/pull loads of approximately 75 lbs at least 10 times per day/shift and stand/walk for 7.5 hours of an 8-hour shift.
•Journeyman certification and relevant experience across areas such as grinding, milling, lathe, welding, polishing, EDM, turning, quality, or assembly; for higher levels, experience programming using Mastercam, CNC, and/or Mazatrol and understanding injection/blow molding processes.
