Job Summary

Support company-owned restaurant financial operations by preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and partnering with Operations, SCM, Marketing, and Market Finance. Monitor store performance KPIs (sales, food cost, labor cost, EBITDA) and recommend actions for underperforming locations. Handle fixed assets and lease accounting support, as well as cash and AR reconciliations, including accounting for new store openings and closures.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare and post recurring and ad-hoc journal entries for store operations, with proper supporting documentation.
•Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for inventory, prepaid expenses, accruals, advertising funds, and other store accounts; resolve aged items.
•Monitor and analyze key operational and financial KPIs (sales, food cost, labour cost, EBITDA, store profitability) and recommend actions to improve performance.
•Support accounting for fixed assets, capital expenditures, depreciation, asset disposals, and assist with lease accounting and compliance.
•Conduct cash and AR reconciliation and support accounting for new store openings, remodel projects, relocations, and closures, including pre-opening and closure costs.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or CA qualified.
•4+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or cost management (preferably in restaurant, retail, or FMCG industries).
•Strong knowledge of cost analysis, P&L reporting, and financial reconciliation.
•Experience working with ERP systems, specifically J D Edwards, and financial reporting tools.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modelling).
