Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow document control and QA processes: ensure drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence are issued and filed/archived appropriately.
  • •Compile design specifications within deadlines and check compliance with project briefs, referencing standards and manufacturer literature.
  • •Carry out detailed structural design to WSP and Building Regulations standards, including complex calculations, CDM/QA review, and technical sign-off coordination.
  • •Undertake and supervise technical calculations to industry standards; support delegated work completion and report issues, risks, or client changes to the project leader.
  • •Determine appropriate design software, construct models, perform analysis/manual checks, and contribute to budget costing elements as delegated.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience designing building structures in a similar role.
  • •Strong communication and technical skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • •Fluency in English and an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
  • •Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • •Proficiency with technical structural software for analysis and design (e.g., RAM SS, RAM Concept, ETABS).
