Job Summary

Own OKX’s in-app messaging platform end to end, from a fully in-house IM engine to user-to-agent AI chat. Build a multi-platform unified IM SDK, platformize the engine for product scenarios, and ensure reliable real-time WebSocket delivery and offline push across global and China vendor channels. Drive performance and stability under weak networks, apply AI to engineering workflows, and set technical direction through design and code review.

Key Responsibilities

•Build a multi-platform unified IM SDK by unifying the logic core across platforms and improving performance and stability.
•Platformize the in-house messaging engine so product teams can build business scenarios (community chat, payments, VIP service).
•Build user-to-agent (AI) chat on top of IM, covering real-time delivery and agent interaction experience.
•Own delivery end-to-end, including real-time WebSocket long-connections and offline push across overseas and China vendor channels.
•Push latency, reliability, and battery/memory performance; raise the bar through design/code review; and build AI-native engineering practice (automated workflows, agents/evals/guardrails, CI integration).

Key Requirements

•Deep, hands-on experience building native iOS and/or Android, with a strong understanding of the platform.
•Experience with a cross-platform/shared business-logic layer; Rust + UniFFI experience is valued (or shared-logic approaches like KMP, Flutter, or React Native).
•Fluency in at least one of Swift, Kotlin, Rust, Objective-C, Java, or JavaScript, with strong CS fundamentals.
•Architecture experience with large-scale mobile apps, applying maintainable design patterns and owning solutions from requirements to production.
•Depth in the messaging stack (chat/UX or real-time networking like WebSocket/long connections and offline push such as APNs/FCM and China vendor push) plus the ability to apply AI to engineering workflows.
