Job Summary

Cost Engineer supporting major projects by delivering accurate cost performance reporting and Earned Value metrics. Develop cost control data structures, establish budgets aligned with baselines, track actuals and accruals, manage forecasts (ETC/EAC), and provide timely project information to inform decision making.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop cost control data structures to accurately track and control actual costs.
•Establish and set the project control budget aligned with agreed baselines.
•Track actual costs for internal and external expenditure against the cost controls structures.
•Track and control project accruals and commitments against set budget constraints.
•Build project forecasts including estimated work to complete (ETC) and the development of the estimate at complete (EAC).

Key Requirements

•A graduate in a relevant discipline with proven experience in delivering cost controls for major projects; CIMA qualification welcomed.
•Experience delivering cost engineering across major projects and the full project lifecycle (pre-investment to commissioning).
•Experience with cost management systems such as Prism and Ecosys and interface with SAP and Oracle.
•Ability to define project cost procedures and standards to which the project/programme will adhere.
•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to cost control.
