Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive business development for the Planning & Advisory business unit, identifying, securing, and leading significant project opportunities across Africa.
  • •Develop and maintain strategic client and account relationships, including leading proposal development, bidding activities, and client presentations.
  • •Lead the technical delivery of ESIA, ESDD, and related advisory services, providing technical leadership and quality assurance across projects.
  • •Support multidisciplinary delivery with specialist teams (e.g., biodiversity, water resources, waste management, mine closure) and ensure alignment with international lender standards and industry best practice.
  • •Mentor, coach, and develop team members while collaborating with technical leaders; promote collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing, and champion SHEQ responsibilities including identifying and managing SHEQ risks.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Honours degree or higher in Environmental, Social, or a related discipline; a research-based postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
  • •EAPASA registration (mandatory).
  • •Minimum 20 years’ experience as an environmental and/or social specialist in consulting.
  • •Extensive experience leading and delivering local and international ESIA and/or ESDD assignments in Africa.
  • •Proven business development, client engagement, and project leadership experience across Sub-Saharan Africa, with willingness and ability to travel.
