Job Summary

Support management of the JRC corporate infrastructure at the Karlsruhe site, including virtual server provisioning, NetApp storage, and campus network operations. Administer VMware vSphere Enterprise-based virtualization, switching and routing (Layer 2/3) with Cisco technologies, storage protocols (CIFS/NFS), and Windows Server platforms. Coordinate team members on the same service contract and serve as the primary interface with the JRC IT Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities

•Administer the JRC corporate virtual server infrastructure.
•Administer the NetApp storage infrastructure.
•Administer the campus network infrastructure.
•Administer Windows-based server platforms.
•Administer other server platforms and coordinate team members for the service contract, acting as primary interface with the JRC IT Service Manager.

Key Requirements

•Very good experience administering server virtualisation platforms, particularly VMware vSphere Enterprise.
•Very good knowledge of switching technologies, particularly Cisco, including Layer 2 network design.
•Very good knowledge of routing technologies, including dynamic routing protocols and Layer 3 network design.
•Experience configuring CIFS and NFS storage protocols and administering NetApp NAS storage infrastructure.
•Experience administering Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2012 or later).
