Key Responsibilities

  • •Review tissue cases for accuracy of tissue requests and perform accurate data entry, escalating to PA’s when needed.
  • •Assist other PSCs in resolving issues and provide feedback on the quality of their work.
  • •Ensure notes and holds are placed on cases with non-conforming samples, discrepancies, and/or missing information.
  • •Compose professional emails/faxes and perform outbound calls to pathology labs to confirm specimen and accession details.
  • •Attend interdepartmental meetings as needed, monitor errors and metrics, and complete required HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training.
