Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families at military installations.
  • •Deliver one-on-one counseling, consultations, and briefings/presentations, and provide referral resources outside counseling sessions.
  • •Develop and make available informational financial materials for service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and deliver personal financial management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Conduct coverage for short-term, surge, and on-demand needs, including duty-to-warn management and regular supervision/in-services.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree with 4 years’ experience or high school diploma with 6 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English (bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract).
  • •Obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and be able to pass the OCI process.
  • •Hold one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
