Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients commencing SACT, especially Day 1 Cycle 1 patients.
  • •Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing evaluation of oncology patients.
  • •Independently prescribe within scope of practice and order investigations to support patient care.
  • •Manage acutely unwell oncology patients, escalating concerns and working with consultants and the MDT.
  • •Lead best practice in safe SACT administration across inpatient and day unit services, including mentorship and competency training.

Key Requirements

  • •Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • •MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
  • •Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification.
  • •Minimum three years' experience within an acute oncology setting, including current work in oncology or haematology services.
  • •UKONS Passport (or willingness to complete) and experience prescribing and managing complex oncology patients autonomously.
