Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure compliance with OHSA and drive equipment reliability and service standards through performance monitoring and root-cause fixes.
  • •Oversee maintenance and engineering, including capital budgets, monitoring cost and effectiveness to optimize resources and prioritize spending.
  • •Develop long-term strategic plans to drive maintenance performance to world-class standards and deliver continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing tools.
  • •Manage capital projects and deliver results first-time, on-time, and on-budget; chair subcontracting meetings.
  • •Build and lead the maintenance and engineering team, coaching and training employees while ensuring ISO programs are delivered on time with timely corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •8 years of professional experience in an engineering leadership role, with a strong track record leading change in a unionized environment.
  • •Implementing and maintaining preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • •Experience in project management and delivering transformational change in maintenance techniques and practices.
  • •Thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • •Knowledge of OHSA; computer literate with Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Project) and production systems (JD Edwards, Kronos Payroll).
