Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform advanced mechanical repairs, including engine performance, drivability, and electrical systems.
  • •Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering, suspension, complete 4-wheel alignments, and heating/air conditioning systems.
  • •Inspect vehicles to meet CarMax quality standards and maintain shop cleanliness per 5S principles.
  • •Consult with customers on repair needs, explain services performed, and ensure clear communication during repairs.
  • •Review and close repair orders accurately and manage parts inventory, receiving shipments, and stocking levels.

Salary: USD 38.4 - 57.6 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Complete New Associate Orientation Training (Operations and Kronos training for hourly associates).
  • •Where required by state/local law, maintain ASE certifications for steering and suspension, brakes, heating/air conditioning, electrical, engine repair, manual drive train and axles, engine performance, and automatic transmission/transaxle.
  • •Ability to read, interpret, and record data accurately.
  • •Able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended periods, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
