Job Summary

Lead and manage the organization’s estimating and tendering activities, coordinating with project management, engineering and finance to produce accurate cost estimates, competitive tenders and compliant submissions. Drive process improvements, supervise senior Estimation Engineers, leverage ERP/SAP and CCS Candy tools, and maintain rigorous records to support bidding decisions.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, ensuring all requirements are met and documents are completed accurately and on time.
•Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
•Identify potential risks in tender submissions and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
•Conduct market research to understand current trends, pricing, and competitor activity to inform tender submissions.
•Negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

Key Requirements

•Knowledge in resources planning and detailed estimate rate calculations.
•Experience with cost estimating packages such as CCS (Candy) is advantageous.
•Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and QS-related software; ERP system experience preferred.
•Knowledge of local material rates, labor productivity and subcontractors; familiarity with quantity surveying methods.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; minimum 8 years experience with supervisory responsibility; GCC experience a plus.
