Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, analyze, and simulate optical building blocks (e.g., modulators, photodiodes, filters, waveguides, couplers) for integrated platforms such as silicon photonics and InGaAs/InP.
  • •Derive specifications for photonics IC systems and circuits.
  • •Design and model package optical interfaces, including edge couplers and grating couplers.
  • •Work with system architects and teams across DSP, electro-optics, and ASIC to partition functions between hardware and software domains.
  • •Perform IC floor planning and layout, and evaluate/measure electrical and optical building blocks for high-speed optical link solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
  • •5+ years of photonics or electro-optical integrated circuit design.
  • •Experience using electrical simulation tools such as Spectre and ADS.
  • •Design and analysis skills for linear/non-linear circuits including high bandwidth modulator drivers, TIAs, CTLEs, filters, and low noise/power amplifiers.
  • •Experience with wideband circuit designs for high speed SerDes links (100Gbps+; BW exceeding 10s of GHz).
