Mortgage Loan Underwriter (Full Time) - Lubbock

Review and underwrite consumer-purpose real estate secured loans held in the bank’s portfolio. Evaluate borrower creditworthiness, income adequacy, and likelihood of meeting obligations; approve, condition, or deny applications in line with loan policy, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Analyze construction budgets, contracts, plans, and specs, including potential mechanic’s lien issues and collateral documentation (title work and appraisals). Ensure insurance coverage and Fair Lending compliance.
