Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply and adapt enterprise data governance frameworks to acquired-company integration, including standards, roles, ownership expectations, stewardship routines, escalation paths, and performance metrics.
  • •Embed governance requirements into data transformation initiatives (migration, integration, modernization, archival, reporting, and analytics enablement).
  • •Establish and maintain a complete view of each acquisition’s data estate, catalog unstructured and structured content categories, and advise integration teams on handling decisions (move, archive, preserve).
  • •Drive defensible retention management: classify data, define retention triggers and periods, coordinate disposal, and ensure legal/business holds are honored.
  • •Support governance technology adoption and operationalize data protection controls (classification, access, masking, retention/disposal), then monitor and report governance performance and readiness to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of experience in data governance, data transformation, data management, data quality, data integration, records/information management, privacy and compliance, or related enterprise technology roles.
  • •Demonstrated experience applying data governance principles across data migration, integration, modernization, archival, analytics, or large-scale transformation programs.
  • •Experience governing unstructured and semi-structured content alongside structured data (mail, file storage, collaboration platforms, and service management records).
  • •Working knowledge of records retention practice, including retention scheduling, record category definitions, retention triggers, and defensible disposal.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; related certifications preferred.
