Job Summary

Lead Dust’s first dedicated FP&A and Controlling function to build a scalable financial backbone. Own month-end close in partnership with external firms, design a forward-looking financial model (P&L, cash flow, headcount, unit economics), and drive AI-powered automation for finance processes. Shape the finance architecture, partner with product and business leaders, and enable rapid, data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the accounting-to-reporting bridge and ensure month-end close is clean, on time, and decision-grade by coordinating with external accounting firms (France & US) and reviewing accruals
•Drive the integrated financial model design (P&L, cash flow, headcount planning, unit economics) and manage annual budget process plus quarterly forecasts
•Architect and implement AI-driven finance automation within Dust (AP/AR automation, reconciliations, variance commentary, data validation)
•Build and enforce the chart of accounts and analytical mappings to enable scalable, reliable reporting
•Communicate finance insights to business leaders and enable faster, smarter decision making through rigorous modeling and data storytelling

Key Requirements

•5-7 years in Finance with a clear arc from accounting foundations toward FP&A and finance
•Experience with both close/controlling work and forward-looking planning
•AI/SaaS company background is a plus with understanding of ARR, churn, CAC, and software revenue recognition
•Experience in a scaling environment where processes did not exist yet and you had to build them
•Strong financial modeling built from scratch; data-literate with SQL or willingness to learn; experience with Data & BI tools (Metabase, Snowflake)
