Job Summary

Lead the Platform Engineering & Data Science team within Ferguson’s AI Technology and Innovation organization, building and evolving secure, scalable platform capabilities for AI, machine learning, and software delivery. Drive cloud architecture across Google Cloud Platform with Azure hybrid support, set engineering standards and reusable services, and advance DevSecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and MLOps to accelerate movement from experimentation to production.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, coach, and develop a team of platform engineers, architects, and technical specialists.
•Define and execute the platform engineering, cloud, and data science roadmap aligned to Ferguson’s AI and technology strategy.
•Design, build, and optimize scalable, secure, and reliable platform capabilities across GCP and hybrid-cloud environments.
•Drive DevSecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and platform reliability standards to improve delivery speed and operational efficiency.
•Own and enhance MLOps and data science platform capabilities, including model development, training, deployment, and monitoring at scale.

Key Requirements

•At least 5 years of hands-on platform engineering experience, including machine learning implementation and data analytics enablement.

•Experience delivering secure software via DevSecOps and CI/CD, including pipeline development.
•Hands-on experience architecting and operating platform services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with working knowledge of Azure for hybrid workloads.
