Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and maintain relationships with state regulatory agencies in CO/WY and advance permitting strategies to support project timelines.
  • •Develop and maintain environmental policies, processes, and compliance documentation while interpreting federal, state, and local regulations.
  • •Assess environmental risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and prepare required regulatory documentation.
  • •Lead or support environmental project planning, including scheduling, cost estimation, impact assessments, and reporting.
  • •Prepare and submit complex permit applications and coordinate construction-phase compliance requirements through implementation to closure.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8 years of environmental experience (Environmental Specialist IV) or minimum 4 years (Environmental Specialist III).
  • •Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental permitting processes, including FERC and NEPA requirements.
  • •Ability to manage multiple permits across large-scale projects with aggressive deadlines and develop permitting timelines aligned to project schedules.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills for agency coordination and stakeholder engagement.
