Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver quantity surveying and cost management services across major rail and metro infrastructure projects.
  • •Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, budgets, tender documentation, and procurement reports.
  • •Lead cost planning and cost control throughout the full project lifecycle, monitoring costs, cash flow, forecasts, and performance against approved budgets.
  • •Administer contracts and evaluate tenders, variations, compensation events, claims, and final accounts.
  • •Support value engineering initiatives, identify commercial risks/opportunities, ensure compliance, and mentor junior quantity surveyors.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
  • •Chartered status, or working towards chartership, with SCSI, RICS, or an equivalent professional body.
  • •Proven experience delivering quantity surveying and cost management on rail, metro, or major transportation infrastructure projects.
  • •Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, including NEC and Public Works Contracts, with experience administering contracts on complex infrastructure schemes.
  • •Experience in cost estimating, cost planning, procurement, contract administration, change control, claims management, and commercial reporting.
