Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with writing and maintaining user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature documentation across the DMS Accounting backlog.
  • •Document current-state and future-state dealership accounting workflows (GL management, deal posting, cash receipts, AP processing, period close).
  • •Pull and analyze product usage data, support ticket trends, and qualitative research inputs to identify patterns and inform PM prioritization.
  • •Partner with dealers to capture structured field notes and synthesize findings into research artifacts and problem statements.
  • •Collaborate with engineering and QA to clarify requirements and support user acceptance testing before release.

Key Requirements

  • •Accounting-domain familiarity (e.g., GL structure, AP/AR, deal posting, period close) through product work or prior accounting/finance operations experience.
  • •Domain familiarity with dealership operations, automotive retail, or DMS software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, or equivalent).
  • •Experience documenting business processes and data flows using tools such as Lucid or Visio.
  • •Technical fluency with SQL and/or BI/analytics platforms such as Tableau or Looker.
  • •Familiarity with delivery/requirements tools such as Rally, Jira, and Confluence.
