Job Summary

Serve as a Retail Personal Banker I in a 4–8 week onboarding program with rotations across operations and Sales & Service, followed by certification. Use a consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to identify customer needs, recommend retail consumer and small business solutions, and proactively reach customers using approved marketing tools. Cross-sell, conduct outside sales activities, partner with mortgage and business teams, and meet customer experience and production goals while processing teller transactions and supporting platform staff.

Key Responsibilities

•Complete onboarding and education rotations to transition into a Retail Personal Banker I role, with certification at program end.
•Use consultative sales and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify current and future financial needs.
•Maintain in-depth knowledge of retail consumer and small business products and recommend appropriate solutions.
•Proactively reach out to customers using CAMP and approved marketing tools to set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
•Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral process while processing teller transactions and acting as platform staff member.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or a combination of education and experience.
•Experience in the financial industry is preferred.
•Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new consumer households and/or cross-sell to existing customers.
•Must demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions to analyze credit and financial information.
•Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank with strong verbal and written communication.
