Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead electrical design for aviation facilities from feasibility and Basis of Design through detailed design, tender, and construction support.
  • •Own electrical power strategy for large-scale facilities, including MV/LV distribution, redundancy, load management, earthing, and control philosophies.
  • •Engineer hazardous-area electrical systems and interfaces, ensuring compliance with ATEX/IECEx and coordination with mechanical ventilation and controls.
  • •Design and specify mission-critical aviation power systems (transformers, generators, UPS, distribution boards, and backups) and integrate utilities across MRO and workshop environments.
  • •Deliver BIM-led coordination (Revit/Navisworks), perform calculations (load/cable/protection/short-circuit/lighting), author technical documents, mentor teams, and support stakeholder approvals and retrofit upgrades.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • •Professionally registered (CEng, PE, or equivalent).
  • •15+ years’ experience in electrical building services design, including aviation and complex infrastructure projects.
  • •Strong knowledge of international electrical design codes, standards, and aviation requirements.
  • •Proficiency with BIM and design software (Revit, Navisworks, ETAP, Dialux).
