Key Responsibilities

  • •Build RL environments end-to-end, including frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
  • •Design for environment correctness by evaluating task coverage, edge cases, and adversarial agent behavior.
  • •Collaborate with Applied Researchers, subject-matter experts, and QA specialists to ensure high-quality interaction data and continuous improvement.
  • •Develop tooling and shared services such as agentic systems and frontends for trajectory review, verifier debugging, reward hacking checks, and environment QA.
  • •Own engineering architecture and execution as a senior IC, including mentoring others and raising the engineering bar.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years as a software engineer/full stack engineer or similar.
  • •Own complex systems end-to-end from ambiguous requirements through production launch, ideally in a startup/high-velocity environment.
  • •Strong production experience with React and TypeScript, including modern frontend patterns.
  • •Strong experience designing APIs, services, data models, and workflows (ideally with TypeScript, Go, Next.js, Python/FastAPI, and Postgres).
  • •Solid understanding of modern LLMs at the API level (tool calling, agent loops, context management) and experience building custom tools or agent integrations.
