Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and perform transportation engineering and roadway design for urban/rural roadways, interstate highways, interchanges, and related infrastructure projects.
  • •Develop transportation design solutions per MDOT, local agency, and applicable industry standards, serving as a senior technical resource for roadway design deliverables.
  • •Coordinate with clients and public agencies (including utilities and permitting stakeholders) to advance projects from planning through final design and construction.
  • •Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, opportunity identification, pursuit strategy, proposal development, and presentations.
  • •Provide technical leadership and mentorship, perform quality control on roadway plans and calculations, and support cost estimating and budget/schedule inputs.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency through experience and/or education).
  • •10+ years of transportation engineering experience with strong roadway design and delivery background.
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • •Established relationships with MDOT and/or Michigan municipal, county, regional, or other transportation agency clients.
  • •Experience with highway and roadway design, including urban and rural roadways, interstate facilities, and interchanges.
