Job Summary

Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver, and unload ready-mixed concrete to customer job sites to standard satisfaction. You’ll follow dispatch instructions, coordinate with the dispatcher/plant supervisor, complete delivery tickets, collect payments, and maintain truck cleanliness including drum rinsing. The role requires safe operation under OSHA/USDOT/FMCSA practices, use of required PPE, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as ladder climbing and handling heavy mixer components.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver, and unload ready-mixed concrete to job sites per dispatch instructions.
•Maintain work area and vehicle cleanliness, including rinsing the drum before and after deliveries and keeping the truck in clean condition.
•Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use PPE as directed.
•Coordinate with the dispatcher/plant supervisor, check delivery tickets for special instructions, and obtain required signatures.
•Collect money from customers, record transactions, and perform additional assigned duties such as truck/plant maintenance, shoveling/sweeping, and yard work.

Key Requirements

•Must possess a valid minimum Class B CDL or complete training and pass the CDL exam to attain CDL licensure.
•High school diploma preferred or equivalent; or minimum one year of related experience or training (or equivalent combination).
•Ability to read and interpret safety and operating/maintenance documents, write routine reports/tickets, and communicate effectively with customers and employees.
•Ability to use tablet/computer tools and follow GPS and/or reading map books.
•Ability to work safely in compliance with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA practices and maintain required PPE.
