Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate and ensure timely closure of supplier 8D (DMR) for defects from external suppliers.
  • •Identify, investigate, and resolve supplier technical and/or system issues related to product or process realization.
  • •Provide supplier training for Eaton 8D requirements and ensure corrective actions are implemented at the supplier and manufacturing-process level.
  • •Analyze supplier issues using statistical/analytical tools to drive supplier improvement and support on-time closure goals.
  • •Coordinate between suppliers and internal functions/plants and monitor supplier performance across key suppliers to improve closure lead time and accuracy.

Key Requirements

  • •BE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Production, Industrial or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • •Minimum 6–8 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering and supplier development/quality.
  • •Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Core Tools, GD&T, and AIAG.
  • •Knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R, and capability analysis.
  • •Preferred experience with manufacturing processes such as precision machining, casting, forging, or molding.
