Key Responsibilities

•Own uptime, calibration, maintenance, and configuration control for specialized characterization tools (IV testers, EL imaging systems, CV/QE measurement tools, light soak chambers).
•Develop light soak test protocols to simulate long-term field exposure and evaluate device stability and degradation mechanisms.
•Create and maintain SOPs, test instructions, and diagnostic workflows to ensure consistent, high-quality measurement data.
•Troubleshoot and resolve daily equipment issues and implement improvements to increase test throughput, tool robustness, and measurement accuracy.
•Identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance/efficiency gains in measurement processes; provide training on safe, proper operation and maintenance of tools.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 68,800 - 98,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline (or similar technical discipline) with the specified combination of relevant technical experience (varies by degree and internal equivalent roles).
•Hands-on experience working in laboratory or manufacturing environments with strong familiarity of plant and laboratory operations and adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
•Strong ability to plan, organize, design, and execute experiments with minimal supervision, including preliminary data analysis and generating clear reports, work instructions, and procedures.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; experience with JMP, SQL, MATLAB, or Python for data analysis is a plus.
•Solid understanding of PV device physics, thin-film solar technologies, and electrical measurement techniques, including ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings with foundational knowledge of electrical circuits and PCB design.
