Key Responsibilities

•Provide Gray Eagle MQ-1C UAS instruction covering takeoff, landing, and tactical employment procedures.
•Teach air crew coordination and Gray Eagle system/payload capabilities, emergency procedures, limitations, and logic.
•Conduct and instruct Gray Eagle UAS missions focused on reconnaissance, aerial surveillance, security operations, and attack mission employment.
•Instruct mission planning concepts including METTTC, risk assessment, and performance planning.
•Teach Army reporting formats and aviation topics including airspace/IFR concepts, communications/radios, laser safety, and military symbology.

Key Requirements

•Qualification in Gray Eagle MQ-1C UAS.
•At least four years of operational flying experience (post initial qualification) within the last five years.
•200 hours on the Gray Eagle and 20 hours as an aircraft commander (AC) (IO can substitute for AC with AC designation in records).
•System qualification/verification including Army qualification certificates (e.g., DD214, DA 7122) and OEM qualification (e.g., DCMA 1821/2628); AC designated/verified via DD Form 759 or DCMA/OEM.
•Obtain and maintain a flight physical per AR 95-20 and successfully complete evaluations per AR 95-20 (including TRADOC instructor, oral academic, no-notice, DES, PFEs, and SFE).
