Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coach, and develop the Mine Engineering team, establishing expectations, technical mentorship, and performance management.
  • •Provide overall accountability for Mine Engineering inputs to planning processes (weekly, forecast, budget, annual), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and technical alignment.
  • •Ensure mine sequencing, priorities, and material movement plans support production, ore quality, stockpile/blending needs, and waste development flexibility.
  • •Maintain Mine Technical governance through engineering standards, QA/QC, peer review, technical documentation, and consistent engineering practices.
  • •Provide technical oversight across mine planning and execution (sequencing, load and haul, drill & blast, dump development) and lead studies/improvements to enhance safety, productivity, planning capability, and cost performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • •Minimum ten (10) years of mining experience, including significant mine planning and technical services experience.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, or coordinating engineers and technical professionals.
  • •Strong technical background in open-pit mine planning and execution, including drill & blast, load and haul, waste and dump development, mine construction, and operational improvement.
  • •Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and business planning, plus engineering governance (QA/QC) and technical risk management.
