Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead planning and execution of onsite microgrid delivery including substations (AIS/GIS), medium-/high-voltage distribution, switchgear, and protection systems.
  • •Develop and manage detailed project schedules aligned to campus milestones; coordinate power engineering with civil, structural, and MEP scopes.
  • •Coordinate with AHJs and permitting authorities; align delivery with customer capacity commitments across commercial, energy, procurement, finance, and operations.
  • •Build and manage budgets and bid packages, oversee contractor selection and contract negotiations, and track electrical/utility change orders.
  • •Review design documents for constructability and operational resilience; ensure protection studies, arc flash analysis, and commissioning plans are incorporated and energization milestones are achieved.

Key Requirements

  • •5–10+ years managing large-scale infrastructure or electrical construction projects, including onsite behind-the-meter microgrid delivery (natural gas and renewables).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •Experience delivering medium- and high-voltage electrical systems, substations, or utility interconnections, including long-lead equipment procurement (transformers, switchgear, generators).
  • •Demonstrated experience managing contractors/consultants/utility providers and leading budgets, schedules, procurement, and change orders.
  • •Familiarity with commissioning and energization processes; PMP or PE preferred but not required.
