Build and optimize large-scale generative recommendation algorithms for TikTok’s international short-video local services. Work on constraint optimization, content understanding, LLM applications, and cross-modal alignment (visual, text, audio) using cutting-edge recommendation system architectures and large recommendation models. Analyze product data to improve user and transaction experiences, and help pioneer new content and revenue streams across hotels, travel, dining, and more.

Key Responsibilities

•Optimize large-scale recommendation algorithms for international short video-based local services.
•Solve complex constraint optimization problems and improve algorithms across academic areas like content understanding and LLM applications.
•Design and implement recommendation system architectures for multiple scenarios.
•Explore new business directions and conduct in-depth analysis of product data.
•Advance recommendation model structures and infrastructure by applying large model solutions, including scaling parameters and generative recommendation models.

Key Requirements

•Solid foundation in machine learning and programming, with research experience in ML, NLP, and CV, plus proficiency in core algorithms and data structures.
•Prior experience in generative + search advertising projects is a strong plus.
•Model and align multi-modal information (visual, text, audio) to enhance content understanding and user intent matching.
•Experience in generative recommendation or search advertising, or strong passion for generative technologies, will be prioritized.
•Publications in top-tier international conferences (e.g., KDD, SIGIR, RecSys, ACL, NeurIPS) are a strong plus.
