Job Summary

Design and deliver detailed lighting layouts and specifications for multi-disciplinary projects, coordinating with clients, luminaire and electrical manufacturers, and contractors. You’ll produce design drawings, feasibility notes, and support documentation while ensuring compliance with external lighting standards and QA requirements within a global lighting team.

Key Responsibilities

•Liaise with colleagues within the Lighting and Energy Solutions team, wider multi-disciplinary design teams, stakeholders and clients.
•Produce detailed design layouts, engineering drawings and support documentation in accordance with QA and client requirements.
•Support with feasibility reports, technical notes, optioneering reports and specifications.
•Engage with luminaire, column, controls and electrical manufacturers.
•Coordinate with contractors including site support, respond to RFIs and TQs.

Key Requirements

•Proficient in Lighting Reality or Dialux lighting design software and AutoCAD.
•Strong understanding of external lighting standards, guidance, legislation and regulations.
•General awareness and understanding of electrical design and lighting maintenance operations.
•Demonstrated competency in lighting design from conception through to issue for construction.
•Membership in a relevant professional organisation (Eng Tech registration encouraged).
