Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure import/export control compliance, including reviewing transactions, confirming licensing and documentation requirements, and validating product classifications.
  • •Conduct sanctions and restricted parties screening of customers, suppliers, and counter-parties, assessing permissibility and escalating potential violations.
  • •Prepare and submit export/import license and authorization applications and maintain audit-ready records for shipments and compliance decisions.
  • •Prepare and validate end-use/end-user documentation and support investigations of compliance exceptions with corrective actions.
  • •Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders and support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of trade compliance policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor or master degree in foreign trade, logistics, transport, or law, or equivalent Trade Compliance experience.
  • •Strong working knowledge of Belgian export/import regulations and relevant regional regimes (e.g., U.S. ITAR, Germany BAFA, UK).
  • •Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Excellent communication skills to advise stakeholders on compliance requirements and non-compliance.
  • •Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
