Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide hands-on technical escalation and response for complex network security incidents, intervening during large-scale volumetric and protocol-based DDoS attacks.
  • •Lead incident architecture by validating network mitigation rules and ensuring stable, clean traffic delivery via BGP and GRE mechanisms.
  • •Design, deploy, and tune detection engineering for network attack detection using attack telemetry to stay ahead of evolving DDoS techniques.
  • •Drive high-touch technical communications with customer network teams, translating routing and attack flow data into actionable architectural guidance.
  • •Build and refine Managed Defense workflows, creating AI-driven automated troubleshooting playbooks (BGP/GRE) and tuning alerting thresholds for self-healing edge responses.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in DDoS mitigation, network security operations, or highly technical infrastructure incident response.
  • •Expert-level understanding of internet routing and encapsulation protocols, including BGP and GRE, plus deep deconstruction of TCP/UDP/ICMP traffic flows.
  • •Ability to identify network attacks and design robust mitigation strategies for volumetric DDoS and protocol exhaustion using edge-based security controls.
  • •Demonstrated detection engineering expertise, continuously tuning network security rules and alerting thresholds to improve signal-to-noise and defense efficacy.
  • •Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash to automate network security workflows, leveraging AI/ML or LLM APIs for automated troubleshooting and mitigations.
