Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic issues, including systems such as electrical/brakes/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments and equipment.
  • •Maintain parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, reconcile inventory periodically, and manage assigned tasks and daily schedule.
  • •Complete documentation including DOT forms and repair orders with photos using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application, while complying with safety, health, environmental, and federal regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical, and maintain a current DOT medical card.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license with an up-to-date Driver Qualification File.
