Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide proactive electrical engineering leadership for substation design, high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) systems, relay protection & control (P&C), SCADA/automation, and power delivery (T&D).
  • •Review permit applications and engineering deliverables (one-line/three-line diagrams, protection schemes, wiring schematics, grounding plans, and equipment specifications) for compliance with IEEE, NEC, NESC, and regulations.
  • •Lead large-scale, complex substation and infrastructure projects (AIS/GIS; greenfield/brownfield), managing scope, schedule, budgets, cost tracking, resource planning, forecasting, and contractor/multidisciplinary supervision.
  • •Drive regional business development and project execution for electrical infrastructure, substation, and T&D work supporting utilities, renewables, and grid modernization initiatives.
  • •Present technical proposals and support stakeholder meetings; mentor and develop staff and ensure engineering best practices, including NERC compliance awareness.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field, or equivalent substation engineering and power delivery experience.
  • •12+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience covering substation design and capital infrastructure projects across power generation, transmission, and distribution (T&D).
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) License (multi-state preferred) with experience supporting utility projects and permitting requirements in NERC-regulated environments.
  • •Advanced proficiency in power systems analysis, relay protection & control, grounding, short circuit analysis, load flow studies, and coordination studies for EPC and permitting.
  • •Advanced knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEEE, NEC, NESC), OSHA/NFPA safety regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local permitting requirements.
