Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee end-to-end accounting for Sephora ANZ, including maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet management.
  • •Support accurate and timely month-end reporting with journal reviews, GL activity review, accruals, prepayments, and accounting adjustments.
  • •Review balance sheet reconciliations and monthly P&L results to ensure completeness, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • •Prepare Australian BAS and New Zealand GST returns, supporting schedules and documentation, and assist with corporate tax and compliance requirements.
  • •Support external, Group, and internal audit requirements by preparing audit schedules, PBC documentation, reconciliations, and responses to audit queries.

Key Requirements

  • •CA or CPA qualified with tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related.
  • •Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience in retail/FMCG or another high-volume multi-site environment.
  • •Strong technical accounting experience across month-end close, general ledger review, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, controls, and audits.
  • •Experience with BAS, GST, CAPEX, fixed asset accounting, and preparing audit PBC is highly regarded.
  • •Advanced Microsoft Excel and SAP experience, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing month-end, reporting, tax, and audit deadlines.
