Job Summary

Operate asphalt plant and heavy equipment to support daily plant operations, including scheduling inbound materials and coordinating with production, quality control, and the plant manager. Perform pre- and post-shift inspections, routine maintenance and greasing, minor servicing, repairs as needed, and housekeeping. Ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA and company safety procedures, maintain documentation, and assist in training less-experienced employees.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
•Manage daily asphalt plant operations, including scheduling inbound materials and coordinating with production, Quality Control, and the Plant Manager.
•Complete daily pre- and post-inspections and use required documentation.
•Perform routine maintenance/greasing and minor servicing and maintenance; refer major issues to supervisors.
•Maintain a safe work environment by following safety policies/procedures and performing required housekeeping duties.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•1-3 years related experience and/or training (or equivalent education/experience).
•Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a variety of working conditions.
•Follow OSHA/MSHA regulations and company safety policies for safe working procedures and environment.
•Read/write and do basic math for keeping time and material records, and understand/follow verbal and written instructions.
