Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive measurable lift in search-attributed conversion, revenue per visit, and GMV alongside relevance across the customer base.
  • •Continuously translate ML/IR research and competitive moves into production wins, shipping SOTA ML/LLM-assisted capabilities that improve relevance.
  • •Own and grow the Search Quality strategy and roadmap, leading measurable improvements in relevance and correctness.
  • •Orchestrate the pipeline by unifying recall, ranking, query understanding, and personalization behind shared definitions of quality and business metrics.
  • •Partner deeply with ML and data science to turn models from candidate generation and recall to LLM-assisted interpretation into production, balancing accuracy, latency, and cost.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive product management experience (typically 8+ years) in search, discovery, ML, or NLP-heavy products at senior/staff level.
  • •Track record moving business metrics at scale (conversion, revenue, engagement) and setting strategy across multiple teams.
  • •Deep understanding of the end-to-end search pipeline: query interpretation, recall/candidate generation, ranking/reranking, personalization, and delivery.
  • •Strong ML product depth, including production tradeoffs between high-capacity (LLM/batch) and low-latency (real-time) approaches and staying current with state-of-the-art research.
  • •Fluency with retrieval/recall and query understanding (tokenization, synonyms, spelling correction, multilingual support) plus evaluation frameworks tied to business outcomes.
