Job Summary

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex healthcare capital projects at King Edward VII Hospital, overseeing hospital upgrades from programme management to clinical design integration and construction delivery. Build a centre of excellence for healthcare capital project delivery, ensure compliance with healthcare legislation and statutory requirements, manage budgets and reporting, and provide hands-on risk management in live clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead delivery of a programme of complex healthcare capital projects at King Edward VII Hospital, ensuring strong programme management, clinical design integration, and construction delivery.
•Develop and maintain a high-performing centre of excellence for healthcare capital project management across hospital and clinical environments.
•Oversee healthcare property and capital project management aligned to clinical standards, healthcare design guidance, sustainability frameworks, and statutory/regulatory requirements.
•Establish and manage key stakeholder relationships with clinical teams and external partners (healthcare planners, architects, engineers, cost consultants, and construction delivery partners) to resolve issues and support governance.
•Ensure robust financial management, monitoring, and reporting of capital expenditure, with proactive risk management and hands-on oversight in live clinical settings.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 80,000 annually

Key Requirements

•In-depth understanding of Design & Construction project delivery, including experience delivering projects in healthcare.
•Track record in Design & Construction project management, including project planning, financial control, and contract supervision with safety and environmental management.
•Experience using business and project management software.
•Working knowledge of the Construction Design and Management Regulations with demonstrable site safety management experience.
•Ability to manage fast-paced refurbishment and strategic programmes over multi-year periods, including managing main contractors during delivery.
