Support the DHS Privacy Office by analyzing privacy program effectiveness, assessing privacy risks and vulnerabilities, and identifying control gaps. Lead privacy incident and breach investigation workflows, prepare documentation and assessments for breach determination, and help drive corrective and preventive actions. Develop privacy/security training, produce recurring metrics, and perform compliance-related reviews and audits while integrating technical findings into practical governance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze and understand the client’s overall privacy program and posture.
•Lead privacy incident and breach investigations, including intake, triage, four-factor risk assessment, investigation, and documentation.
•Prepare assessments and case workups for the Privacy Officer to support breach determination and assist with breach notifications.
•Translate investigation and audit findings into corrective and preventive actions addressing root cause.
•Develop and deploy role-based privacy/security training and produce recurring trend and program metrics.

Key Requirements

•Minimum six years of combined experience applying HIPAA Privacy/Security requirements and handling PHI in a healthcare or human-services setting.
•Minimum six years of combined experience with records release/disclosure or health information management (HIM) operations.
•Experience conducting investigative or operational writing such as root-cause analysis, corrective action plans, investigation summaries, or analytical writing.
•Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.
•Undergraduate degree or six years of relevant experience; must reside or relocate to the Little Rock, AR or central AR area.
