Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical/brake/cooling, steering, engine (gas/diesel), transmission, clutch, and differential systems.
  • •Inspect/test defective equipment, use test instruments, conduct road tests, and independently manage diagnostic findings.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections; reconcile parts inventory.
  • •Document repair work and DOT forms accurately using repair orders, pictures, and the company iOS device/TRAIT app, and communicate with management for approvals.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or alternative combinations such as degree/certification beyond HS or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with required remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years old with a valid Class C driver’s license and ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File.
