Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead hydrological contributions for national infrastructure and flood risk management projects for external and internal clients.
  • •Contribute to national fluvial and pluvial modelling to support flood modelling services across energy, transport, government, and water sectors.
  • •Deliver hydrology and water resources management services to UK water companies, aiding in development of water resource and drought plans and supporting WINEP.
  • •Support climate resilience and adaptation planning through water resource assessments for industrial and energy sectors.
  • •Collaborate with teams across WSP’s global business to deliver integrated solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Detailed understanding of UK hydrological techniques and knowledge of recent updates with a proven track record in high flow studies.
  • •Experience carrying out reviews and calculations to satisfy UK statutory bodies (EA, SEPA, NRW or DfI).
  • •Commercial awareness with experience identifying and developing business opportunities and preparing winning proposals.
  • •A sound understanding of client needs and a track record of leading and winning work.
  • •Chartership with a relevant professional body (or commitment to work towards).
