Key Responsibilities

  • •Account for legal entity financial control activities including month-end close, reporting, intercompany settlements/break resolution, variance analysis, and close issue tracking.
  • •Prepare/review US GAAP and local GAAP (IFRS) general ledger entries and support monthly US GAAP financial close and subsidiary governance processes.
  • •Analyze accounting and financial control impacts from corporate treasury, mortgage, and consumer vehicle lending (auto) products; investigate product-specific balance sheet and P&L issues.
  • •Prepare/review regulatory reporting data submissions for US GAAP consolidation and assist with stand-alone external reports.
  • •Support FX process governance and hedging, legal entity forecasting, audit liaison, process walkthroughs, control issue escalation, and ad hoc system/change initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered Accountant / CPA qualification and certifications such as IFRS Diploma.
  • •Minimum 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in controllership across finance, accounting, and regulatory reporting, preferably in banking.
  • •Legal entity and specialty product control and reporting experience in financial services/banking.
  • •Strong understanding of corporate treasury, mortgage, and consumer vehicle lending (auto) product accounting, reporting, and balance sheet impacts.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills for global correspondence and cross-functional stakeholder management.
