Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical strategy and long-term architecture for the People technology ecosystem across Workday, Docebo, Greenhouse, integrations, employee data, automation, and AI.
  • •Lead, coach, and develop the People Systems Engineering team, building a culture of technical ownership, experimentation, rigor, and continuous improvement.
  • •Serve as a technical leader for Workday to ensure it remains well-architected, maintainable, secure, scalable, and leveraged as a system of record.
  • •Partner with Product Managers for People Systems to translate problems into product and technical strategies and co-shape roadmaps with clear engineering ownership.
  • •Drive API-first, event-driven evolution and define data, testing/automation, observability, and security approaches to improve reliability and employee/manager experiences.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • •8+ years of experience in enterprise application engineering, software engineering, HR technology, systems architecture, or related technical disciplines.
  • •2+ years of experience managing or formally leading technical teams, developing both people and technical capability.
  • •Strong hands-on understanding of Workday across architecture, data model, security model, business processes, integrations, reporting, and extensibility.
  • •Experience defining technical strategy/architecture for enterprise systems, including boundaries across SaaS configuration, extensibility, integrations, automation, and custom development.
