Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot and resolve automation and compressor controls issues beyond the Operations level (e.g., failed starts, unit trips, improper equipment operation).
  • •Maintain and troubleshoot turbines, reciprocating engines, PLC programs, and ancillary equipment, including ESD and safety systems.
  • •Maintain and troubleshoot compressor station HMI node programs and provide support to HMI hardware.
  • •Provide technical input during capital projects (scoping, design review, commissioning) and implement company standards for PLC programming and HMI development.
  • •Support SCADA data transfer to Gas Control and COMETII, assist vendors with specialized work, and help resolve emissions testing and vendor bulletin issues.

Key Requirements

  • •2–5 years of experience in operations, maintenance, and/or capital project support of industrial automation systems.
  • •Familiarity with natural gas compression facilities and rotating machinery (reciprocating engines/compressors and gas turbines and/or electric motor driven centrifugal compressors).
  • •Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs, including ladder logic, function block programming, and structured text; Rockwell RSLogix-5 and RSLogix-5000 experience is required.
  • •Proficiency in HMI development and troubleshooting; WonderWare HMI/SCADA implementation (or equivalent) is required.
  • •Working knowledge of NEC and DOT Part 192, plus NFPA 70E safety knowledge (shock/arc flash, Lockout/Tagout, PPE).
